Day 2 of taking 5 days to see the possibilities of how a growth mindset can have in our lives. This series is about sharing with you one of the three important aspects of whole-body wellness, the mind. During these 5 days, we will cover; Abundance, Thankfulness, Acceptance, Positive Self-image and Discomfort.

I think we all know we should be thankful – although it is hard to remember sometimes during everyday moments.

I challenge you to start each morning with thankfulness. Start each day by thinking of a few things and people you are thankful for.

Here are some interesting facts on thankfulness:

  • A 2011 study published in Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being found that spending just 15 minutes jotting down a few grateful sentiments before bed may help you to sleep better and longer.
  • A 2012 study published in Personality and Individual Differences started that grateful people experience fewer aches and pains and report feeling healthier than other people.
  • A 2014 study published in Emotion found that showing appreciation can help you win new friends.
  • A 2014 study published in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology found that gratitude increased athletes’ self-esteem, an essential component to optimal performance.

Today, I challenge you to think of 2 – 3 positive influences in your life right now and reach out to those positive influences today by either email, text, a call and thank them for being there for you!

Also, take a journal or notebook and write just 3 things you are gratitude for in your life.  Just 3.  Do it daily, see how you really start to notice your blessings.

Again, it will take more than just these 5 days to really set our mindset towards wellness, that is why we develop a Mother’s Mindset program so that you can take the time to really see where your mindset is and how you can grow it.

Read more about it and see if you would like to take the course! This is one of the bonuses in our Merciful Love Challenge, Lent 2020, so you get 2 for the price of one!

Please comment below and let me know what your thoughts are about Thankfulness..

With the Love of Christ,

Maria Cecilia
