Discovering the Little Way

Inspired by the teachings of St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Way emphasizes simplicity and humility in daily life. In the realm of wellness, it encourages us to find God in the ordinary and to approach self-care with a spirit of love and gratitude.

The Advent Connection

Advent, a time of preparation and waiting, provides the perfect backdrop for the Little Way Wellness Challenge. As we anticipate the arrival of the Christ Child, let’s also prepare our minds, bodies, and spirits to welcome Him with open hearts.

Components of the Challenge

1. Prayer and Reflection:
Begin each day with prayer and reflection, embracing the Little Way’s emphasis on simple acts of love. Consider incorporating daily scripture readings or reflections to deepen your connection with God during this sacred season.

2. Mindful Movement:
Engage in fitness activities that honor your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Whether it’s a gentle walk, jog, or other forms of exercise, approach it as a way to care for the gift of your physical well-being.   In our workbook, we share the Trinity 3 a simple whole body strength training workout that can be done in 5 mintues or less.

3. Nutrition with Purpose:
Adopt a nourishing diet that fuels your body and soul. Reflect on the connection between what you eat and how it sustains your overall well-being. Consider incorporating fasting or mindful eating practices as part of your spiritual discipline.  

4. Acts of Kindness:
Practice small acts of kindness and service, mirroring St. Therese’s commitment to love in simple ways. Reach out to those in need, both within your community and beyond, fostering a sense of solidarity and compassion. Also recalling that acts of kindness towards yourself is a must to foster wellness growth.
